Who has the biggest hive

This tread is just 4 a bit of fun, with the good summer so far the bees are triving, who has the largest hive around, my biggest is one deep 4 suppers tall i hope for my own ego that its above average

One more than me, my best is sitting on 3 supers

3 national deeps and 3 commercial supers, a few others on four deep nationals, some on 2 national deeps and 4 supers.

If it hasn't fallen over (shouldn't have) I have a double brood national with 8 supers on it, it's on borage and they need that amount of room to store un-ripe nectar it is a huge colony, most of the others on the borage are 1 or 2 broods with 3-5 supers.

I will get a photo or two when down there this weekend.

Just put another super on mine so I can beat you lol 1 brood and now 5 supers and it is packed with bees :-D

When I'm back in Essex over the weekend I'll take some photos, I'm hoping to extract some of the honey as I'm fast running out of supers that are made up.

Just waiting for Finman to turn up - his are always bigger, with more honey than anyone in the UK (guys, you have to realise you can't have more than one super unless you have at least six boxes of brood!! )
