What to use for insulation

Surely nobody uses clingfilm to insulate hives? Not seen it mentioned in the thread previous to this reference, or have I missed something?
 
You are yes.

Mention was made of newspaper being chewed or it was alluded to so I added in clingfilm as I used it one year for PP's and sheesh did they shred it which I thought amazing, and still wish I had the photos of it.

Nothing to do with insulation, I covered that with the Sheffield Insulations tip.

Hi, Have you a hole in the bottom of the carton which fits over the hole in the crownboard or do the bees come up trough the hole in the crownboard and climb up the sides of the carton to get at the fondant?

Hole in lid of carton up ended over hole in crown board so they match up ( doesnt matter if hole in lid is a bit bigger or smaller) that way they can't go anywhere else apart from at the fondant.
