But not worth to debate. Swarm here or there. No matter.

When I started beekeeping, I bought so much swarms as I got. Bees were very swarmy in those days, and the price was not much.
I noticed that when I join swarm to 4 kg colony, they occupy 2 Langstroth boxes and brought 40 kg honey. I got my money back at same year. Bees draw more over 3 Langstroth boxes foundations. But first too boxes I put them draw combs with sugar. Then I bought Caucasian queens, and changes all queen's of swarms.

Somehow I doubt a (normal ) grapefruit sized cast would have enough bees to cover..

Queen will be a virgin, so unlikely to get laying immediately. As others, they can be reinforced with emerging brood. Only a part frame initially, if a small cast.

Agreed, a small frame of brood now; Emerging brood is ideal if available. Otherwise capped brood and you might be able add a second (small) frame later once bees emerge.
