What is this and how do you treat it?

I took this out of my brood box today.

The wax is furry like a fungus. Some of the comb looks like it has blue mould growing on it.

I'm not sure what it is and how do you fix it?

looks like mouldy comb mouldy pollen and or pollen mite...

just a guess though

edit,, it says also that it's a colony that cannot control the hive internal enviroment,,,small colony maybe?????

is the brood a national or larger 14x12
is it on a solid or OMF floor
are the feed,porter escape holes covered
assume wooden hive, so it there signs of water penetration
how old in the colony ,isit a first year nuc, if so when did yu put it in the hive

It is a national hive and on omf floor.

It was a 5 frame Nuc last May and transferred to a national hive.

Foundation has been in the Nat hive since May.

Everything was OK 3 weeks ago. Just returned from holiday to find this.

About 4 frames are like this.

Have you enough bees to cover all the frames ? , have they swarmed without you knowing 3 weeks , who knows. I have had one or two coming out of winter that looked like yours and they were on the outsde of the brood , is your hive in a sunny spot or shade
