I have returned from loading hives to take to OSR in the morning and as usual had a few bees escape . On my way home I was pondering what I would do if a colony escaped and didn't really come up with a good strategy but thought I know a man/woman or two who would!
My thoughts were:
1. Panic !!!! Not really a good strategy
2. Stop and wait until they all went back of their own accord
3. Pull suit hood over my head and carry on to were they were going and take hive and (hopefully) most of the bees and set up.
Any suggestions welcome

I drove home in my beesuit with hood down when I bought my first Bees. No one had anything to say surprisingly enough :)

Hate to say this but I did too, even though they were tucked up in a nuc box that was tapped shut. Now driving with 6 hives and suit half down as I end sweating like a pig and just a bit of foam in entrance keeping them in.

its funny watching cars drop back when they see a live bees in transit sign and me wearing my beesuit. Its the only time I have never had a tail gaiter lol.

I was more likely to do the first one if it happened to me lol lol.

Always have your veil handy, what if some prat drives into you. You get trapped and your bees get freed.......aaaaah! I always wear my suit with the veil attached but not on!

I also drove home in my suit when taking my first bees home. I did get some odd looks though when I stopped to fill up...lol

I once had escapees from a nuc and I didn't have my suit with me. I figured the only option was to open the windows and keep driving.
