Here's the introduction from the registration page;
"Kirsty Stainton works as the technical manager for the National Bee Unit. She worked at Fera Science from 2016 to 2020 where she performed research for the NBU that included molecular detection of the invasive pests, Vespa velutina nigrithorax (Asian hornet) and Aethina tumida (Small hive beetle), molecular analysis of the Asian hornet diet, and research into the use of antivirals to treat honey bees. She then spent 2 years working on honey bee virus research before deciding to move into science communication. She wrote the monthly beginner's series for BeeCraft in 2023 and wrote the book - 'A practical guide to Varroa management'.
In this talk, Kirsty will introduce the causative agents of European and American foulbrood. She will describe how to recognise the symptoms of foulbrood and differentiate it from other common disorders, how it's spread, and discuss past and present treatments for foulbrood. Current research and future developments in the control of the foulbroods will also be discussed".
