Wasp nest that fooled me .

Being a newb i saw this picture today of a nest removed from the old Tonbridge fire station . It has now had a refit and is

being used as a beer cafe so im happy
At first i though it was some old honey comb that the bees had left and then the wasps had moved in . On closer inspection it is all wasp . I didnt realise that wasps built in this uniform way . Lesson learned .

Good guys , huge colony.

At the end of the day Just protecting themselves and doin their thing but locationwise had to go of course. Still though hate to see colonies destroyed

HAHA... my friend was asked by a neighbour if he'd like a swarm of bees he had found whilst doing some hedging work on his farm... delighted he went off to collect them... he returned with the nest..... but it wasn't honey bees.... it was digger wasps. He kept them for a while, observing them until winter came. it was interesting enough
