Being new to beekeeping, I have only had my bees since May. I was around some friends who have an old hive that's bees moved into. They asked if I would do a quick check on the hive and I would be amazed if it survived the winter. 5 mins after closing up we were sitting in the garden and I got stung on the face just below my glasses frame.

I later read that bees see sunglasses as a target to aim for, and my glasses are the reactive type that go dark in sunlight, wonder if this fact or myth.

They see black as a target; natural predators would have black paws, noses etc. For the same reason you shouldn't wear black gloves to do inspections and even taking a photo with your black phone can sometimes put them on edge.

I started out my beekeeping with black rubber gloves. Never had a problem.

I wear Reactolite glasses.
Never had an issue.

EDIT
And black (now faded) jeans
Ditto.

Black gloves? Seen them attacked more than once.
