I am into week 3 of my Apiguard treatment and one of my colonies is doing something I have never seen before. The colony is in a double brood national - I used it for queencell raising - The queen has retreated to the lower box and stayed there, all the brood in the top box has emerged. Now here's the strange bit - the bees have moved the honey from the arch over the "brood area" and put it into the brood area cells - a complete reversal of the "norm" - WHY?
The bottom box is full of brood in all stages and positioned where I would expect it to be with a honey arch over. Mike
