Hi guys,

I have 3 great sealed queen cell which I have no use for - they were removed from queenless splits.

Right now they are sat not that far away from my AGA, keeping warmish.

Is there anything I can use them for, mini nucs for an example or should I destroy them?

Thanks,

If you kill them, I believe they would be a useful source of queen pheromone to rub on a bait hive. You can keep them in alcohol for same purpose in the future.

Queen does not develop its full pheromone array until mated. That is why virgins are generally ignored in the hive. So I doubt larvae or immature pupae would have much effect. If I cull a mature queen, I pop her into my jar of alcohol, to make " queen juice", which I then use as an attractant.
