I am looking for somebody near to the showground side of Norwich who is interested in having a hive on thier property.

I think the weather this year must be my fault because I made the mistake of making a plan! :dupe:
I did have somebody who was going to have one colony but they changed thier mind.:nopity:
I made new national hives and transfered the residents of my Warre hives into them in early May, but because of the weather they have only just started to sort themsleves out into some form of organised building programme.
I also have a small nuc made with 2 frames from my observation hive which are slowly progressing.
Basically, I have too many bees and was intending to split one of the hives up into nucs using new purchased queens, but ,but, but, weather seems to have also delayed the queens arrival.
The other alternative is that somebody might like to buy the colony.

now might be a good time to join the NBKA, they have lists of folk willing to have hives on their land ;)

On the other hand, one of the members of the NBKA might read this and reply.

Tight wad. Perhaps you should change your screen name to dishwad!

Join!! there would then be at least two!!

2 and a bit as I seem to qualify by being a member of Kings lynn, I get all the newsletters and handbook stuff

I might reply. Then again, I might not!

Buzzword - the little magazine for us Norfolk folk - regularly has names of people who want bees on their land.

Have you given up with the Warre hive??

Have you given up with the Warre hive??

I decided to change because of non interchangeability.

The boxes are designated to be used as planters...

I know Norwich is often thought of as being a bit of a backwater but am suprised at lack of response.

You have the UEA BKA your side of the city they may be able to help you out, might cost you membership but in my opinion would be a good deal. Stewart who runs it is a member of the forum. Just a thought.

Thanks for that Outlander. I had forgotten they had bees there.

May be worth asking, thay can only say no. I went to one of their meetings once and most seem friendly. Go to members list and look under U and you will find him.
