Prior to June this year I had 2 of my hives with this years Queens turn drone layer. However since the beginning of June I have had a further 3. Thats 5 out of 12 with this years Queens that have done this.

They are not from the same antecedants on the maternal side so its not down to genetics I cam only presume that its all down to poor mating in this crap weather we have been having or perhaps its down to the drones they have been mating with. This I find unlikely as there are at least 6 other bee keepers within a mile of me so there is a fair quantity of hives from which drones could have come from. So I conclude its this god damn weather.

I note that everyone puts this weather down to the position of the Jet stream,, No one seems to be questioning why the Jetstream is in this position Is it climate change???
