Greetings from sunny Spain,
Its been 30 degrees C, here, had a quick peek at the hive entrances on the edge of dark last night and both hives were busy with young bees making play flights, at first light the bees are working our neighbours false pepper tree which has been in flower since early august,
hope you chaps in the UK don't suffer too much wind damage.

Orientation flights is the term I believe. Yep, you are having a second summer 'Indian Summer' according to my daughter's Spanish boyfriend and very nice he is too. Came all the way from Spain to surprise her for her birthday.
