OPen Farm Sunday - 9th June 2013

I don't think I've seen anything in here for the Open Farm Sunday this coming weekend but there are hundreds of farms across the UK holding (free !) open days this coming Sunday ... perhaps the opportunity for us to engage with the farming community and have a scout for some new apiaries (and possibly have a good time as well !).

There's likely to be a participating farm near most of you .... in the UK.

Yep, there's been one published in the Nottinghamshire BKA newsletter for the 9th too.

It's at Weston, Newark (NG23) - I don't have the details for that one to hand but I'm sure it will be on the nottsbees pages. The article said fun + games + demonstrations + bring the family + bring a bee suit, etc.

Was hoping to go but have a wedding instead which I guess should take priority.

There's one in bristol, Tynings Farm in Shirehampton, there'll be a beekeeper there too
