OA vape for poly nuc

I want to treat my nuc with OA. Rather than building something to sit below the floor can I use something over the brood? I got one of the supers with the maisemore nuc I bought, I thought about cutting a slot in that.

That way, roof could come off modified super on, roof back on. Vape and leave sealed for a bit. Then super off and replace roof.

Or would the heat of the Vapmite/vapour melt the poly roof (as it would be much closer).

Why not just spend five minutes making a simple eke to fit under? close up nuc, place over prepared eke with vapouriser, vape, move after a few minutes and prepare for the next one.
No need even to open up the hive.
