I have noticed some streaking outside one of my colonies so decided to use my new found Nosema testing skills (sort of). By the time I got out to take a sample, the bees have retired for the day. I took a couple of bees and did individual assessments and have found a heavy infestation in one.

Obviously I now need to do a full sample. The bees are on four frames and quite a lot of capped brood ready to emerge soon so I don't think they are going to dwindle out.

Is there anything I should do right now? I used the method of honey preservation in my autumn feed for these bees.

I am trying to rotate out older frames during the season.

Thanks. I have some bottled up from Autumn. Will have a read.

Interesting post by Randy Oliver, I had a cliff notes version lesson that I used when doing my quick sample today in this video:

I shall make up some spray and try that, along with a spring clean I intend to carry out over the next few weeks.
