I would suggest contacting your local association and speaking to them about training and buying colonies. This is a link to Ulster Beekeeping Assocation, click here It lists local beekeeping associations in Northern Ireland

You could try and locate a local beekeeper and see if they can help,

This is a map with lots of bee supply shops on it for Northern Ireland, click here

Reads lots of books, bee related websites and communicate/chat/discuss bees with beekeepers, this is an excellent place to start but you cant beat face to face

Hi I am just beeginning. There are preliminary bee keeping courses starting around this time. You will see the info on ulster beekeeping association websit.

The courses in Greenmount College are too expensive, you would be better to find a mentor near you who can tutor you in bee keeping, also try to join a local asssociation I'ed say there are people within who could help you....

Buy some very basic bee keeping guides as complete books for bee keeping would be a little hard to undestand if your a novice.
