Hi fellow keepers
Just a quick silly question
I need to move my hive about two foot

Can I move the hive in one move
Or do I have to move it a couple of
Inches as a time

2 feet should be ok on paper :) however id play it safe and maybe move it bit by bit, only reason i give is that the books ive read say u can move it about a metre,
moved mine a few years ago and found all the girls sitting on the ground 3 ft from the hive lol

Two feet should be fine in one move, as long as the entrance orientation is the same.

How wide is your hive? How wide is the entrance? That should answer your question as to whether you should be able to move it more than 5cm at a time!

There is a rule in beekeeping, from ages past, re moving hives. Less than 3 feet or more than 3 miles.

Thank you everyone
I have decided to move the hive
One foot today and the other foot next
Weekend

I guess this way I'm playing it safe
