Lidl Cordless Power Tools

On the recent Lidl Mitre Saw thread, someone asked

is the saw battery powered?

That one plainly isn't.


BUT, Lidl do have coming soon (16th Feb in SE England) a range of cordless power tools with Lithium Batteries (like a laptop or cellphone battery, low self-discharge, no 'memory effect', high power, low weight, fast recharging - but expensive).

There is a Hammer Drill, a Jigsaw and a Circular saw.
Each one is priced at £40

All three use identical 18v battery packs (each comes with one pack). So the idea is to buy into the set ...

yep I got that and thought about at least getting the drill, hope they will be selling spare batteries. much cheaper than my hitachi drill and looks just as good.
