I've just removed the 2nd tray of Apiguard after one week as it was empty. I've had the inspection board in as suggested and taken it out now. Am I supposed to be analysing and drawing any conclusions from what is on there? I've been away so basically it's been in there for three weeks so is pretty full of everything. Do i need to be sifting through it all to count mites or anything?

Ideally you need to check to see what mites have dropped but i doubt you will be able to see much if it has been in there untouched for 3wks, if i was in that situation i would clean the tray and pop it back in for a few days to see if you are still getting any dropping.

Yes. I agree with Millet. You'd be looking for a number of mites/day, but, your sample will probably not be a reflection of what's in there now anyway.
At this time of year, you want the bees that are going into winter to be as healthy as you can possibly get them. As the queen reduces laying at the end of the season, the mites move to the phoretic stage and travel around on bees. This is a good time to get rid of them as there will be less mites reproducing in the cells.

Just took mine out today (5 frame langstroth nuc) after 2 weeks 2nd dose, only 10 mites on the inspection board. Will do a daily check now for a few days but happy I've got most.
Noted BIAS & plenty of stores bees seem to be working the HB well
