I've recently moved my bees to an out apiary which is very near a vineyard.

Will bees forage from the vine?

they completly ignored my 4 vines(boskop glory) so far. i have had to do my usual shake the bush trick.

give mike robberts at ridgeview vineyard, ditchling a call on 0845 345 7292
he has acres of vines and he will more than happily talk to you about them and show u round as well if you want. i used to stock his wines in my former life as a deli owner i can highly recommend them and also the booker vineyard wines at bolney they are so good i had them at my wedding.

hope this helps.

what? Like in Cool Hand Luke?

im sure i am going to regret this but i am lost. please explain

what i do since i have my vines in my poly tunnel on a metal frame over my hammock is i grab the frame and give it a darn good shake which puts pollen in the air and fertilises my grapes.
before i got my bees i had to do the same thing for my peaches, bees love them. they come into the polytunnel to get at them. Seem to be able to get out without any real hassle aswell.

Ah, not old enough.

A film with Paul Newman. He was prisoner and on a road gang if they wanted to go to the loo they went into the bushes but had to "Keep shaking the bush" to show they were still there.
