Can anything be inferred from the rubbish that falls through the mesh floor? ( aside from when doing mite counts )

Hive 2 gives me a couple of specks of dust, maybe a couple of small bee parts and some apologetic looking bees that seem embarrassed they missed a bit.

Hive one seems to spend its time dropping pollen pellets and chewed up bits of wax through the mesh floor for fun.

Is that just the way bees are or is something up? There's no sign of chalkbrood mummies or anything like that in the debris. It just looks like the hives housekeeping bees are undergraduates.
 
Not that I've seen - they've always been messy bees. Comb is being uncapped but the weather's naff and it's been done in an orderly fashion starting from straight over the centre of the brood radiating out. There's no commotion by the entrance and they're always calm.
