I suppose there is duct tape and there is duct tape! Some makes stick better than others.

I have some friends who do Asbestos removal and they have to make air tight decontamination tents on each separate job , with duct tape and polythene sheeting, where duct tape has to be applied they use a similar product to this link before taping a area up, i have used the spray glue my self and you can get duct tape to stick to just about any surface when using it.
