Hello . I am a newbee and have been planning to make a Warre hive at first ,but because of trouble obtaining a package and insecurity in my ability to install bees I decided to start with 5 frame nucleus in my first year of beekeeping .A seller I will preorder from sells nucleuses with British Standard National frames .
If I understand correctly they are for National hive .I have tried to find plans for it , but it turned out there is new and old version of it , everything is in inches and I am seriously confused .
Where can I get detailed plans for National which will fit those British Standard National frames ? Preferably in metric and with observation window .
Also I will be very grateful if you will advise on a good book about management of National hive .
Thank you for your attention.

I would not bother with observation window. You will not see a lot of interest. Instead try a see through crown board. I have a Warre and two top bar hives, but glad I got experience with framed hives before branching out.
