Hi there,

I am preparing for my first season at this new hobby, wanted to see if anyone is local to me and can advise on placement of my hives as I have a few challenges in my garden!

Chaddleworth, Brightwalton area if anyone is close by and can come over to help I would really appreciate it.

I make good sloe gin as a reward!

Have you joined your local branch of BBKA? Sure someone there could help.

Yep agree with Davelin, if you join your local club/BBKA and get in touch with your local branch secretary he/she will give you a name or two of people that would like bees on their land. Not a guaranteed winner as some people do not understand what constitutes a good site (have an open mind). I would also recommend doing a beginners course which involves theory and hands on practical beekeeping, before committing to buying your bees. Just my opinion.... Good luck.

Thanks, have joined, a real problem the meetings are at a time I just cannot do, at least very rarely, as I work away.

Trying to work things out.

Thanks Colin

Working away? Will you be able to carry out hive inspections as required during the active season?:coolgleamA:

I am back every day it is just inconsistent timings, sometimes I leave late, sometimes back late. I am rarely away for the night.

Good point though!
