I sold over 200lbs of my own and other's honey. I could have sold more. Talks to WI, OAP groups, sign outside house, word of mouth. Word gets round.

Try health food shops.. Labelling is VITAL - both to comply with the law and to have an attractive looking product..

Have you ever kept bees? My advice ....... Try with two!!!!!

No I never kept bees myself, my dad used to have a decent sized farm back in the days and I used to help him with the farm, this was twenty odd years now. The farm was created around organic farming and bees was just something we used to have by the time he sold the farm he had about 30 colony’s all started with just 2 hives. I’d like to start something similar to him as I love the lifestyle and nature, we all have to start somewhere and thought honey bees could be it for me in my head I thought I keep my next year researching and probably attend a few courses ( the reason as I joined this forum as I will be up to date to oncoming events etc..) then the year after probably get my first nuc and see we’re I go from that.

You will find the major suppliers who offer labels have a list of requirements. So go to Thornes or Maisiemore (for example) on-line and read...

Start small and see how you get on, and then if you like it you can build up the number of hives. Have a look on you tube, searching for " national honey show 2017" .
Three videos in particular may be of interest with the ambitions you mention
Beekeeping as a profitable sideline
The beekeeping ladder
Honey marketing
By word of mouth I never have any problems selling 3-400 lbs of honey each year. You get a much better price selling by the jar than by the bucket or drum.

Not probably but essential to attend a beginners' course to learn the theory before getting your first hive - IMHO.
Selling honey: see my avatar: sales box on the roadside verge, money down the drain pipe through hedge into a chamber pot.

I endorse that as I used (with permission) some of them for my evening class.
