After managing to source a supply of butane lighter fuel (Clipper Universal) I recently tested my new GasVap OA vaporiser with its Sistotec burner. After assembling and lighting, the GasVap produced a steady stream of OA. The test was with a small amount of OA. For my first apiary hive trial there were a few false start with the GasVap. I managed to Vape one hive semi-successfully but after problems with OA crystallisation blockage I packed in for the day.
Today I have discovered that the Sistotec fills only partially from the Clipper and burns for about 30 seconds before going out.
Has anyone had a similar refill problem? Where does the problem lie? Is it the Clipper or the Sistotec?
Stumped.

I had repeated problems with the little blow torches, both the one originally supplied with my GasVap, and a replacement I bought. They either weren't refilling properly, or they were leaking gas between uses.
Instead I bought a blow torch that goes directly on the gas can, but is the right size to fit the GasVap: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09YRH23MW/?th=1
Butane cans: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CX3L8IA/
Saved all that faffing around with refilling and leaking and the big cans last forever.

Thanks for the web sites. If I decide to get rid of the GasVap I will look at the web sites.
However, I have just found advice online on how to fill a gas lighter (we do not have one). It seems to have solved my problem. I was trying to fill the Sistotec when the torch end was at the top, with the refill valve at the bottom. Doh!
Back to the apiary.

Ten hives treated with GasVap which worked well.

Very similar to what I now use. However my gas vap is an early model without clamping screw so I "reshaped" the flame tube with a bit of brute force and ignorance in my traditional manner 🔨
