You've recently removed supers for extraction so the brood box will look full now.

no. Keep it as it is. If you are really worried then add the half underneath, preferably with undrawn foundation. They wont build it out or use if they dont need it.

Get your apiguard on while temps are still good. Plenty of time for winter feeding after that.
