frozen brood frames..how long

exactly.....

issue is, got them from freezer this am and wanted to add to brood boxes going under a colony with 8-9 frames of bia

it will thaw but still be cooler than normal i guess

so a few hours is ok

I would wait until they are well and truly thawed, for 2 reasons, one is that it takes heat energy to warm up the frozen frames, if you put enough in you could chill the hive considerably.
Secondly you will get some condensation while they are below ambient, so best to wait until that has gone so not to introduce to much moister into the hive!
