Hi,I was just going to give the bees a feed and found that my fondant which is wrapped in a plasyic bag and noticed it is going hard. What is the best way of turning it back to a syrup as not to waste it or do i just throw it away thanks

Just give it a generous spray of water :)

I keep a small tub of fondant (about 1/2Lb) in my tool box for emergency use, and last weekend I found a nuc had run out of stores so out came the tub to start off feeding, the fondant hard as a rock so I broke it up with my hive tool and put about 1/2" of water in the bottom of the tub.

when I got back later to feed properly, I found that a fair amount of the fondant had already been taken and quite a lot of the water had gone, presumably absorbed into the fondant or taken by the bees
