Feeding Honey Back To Bees

I have around 4lb of soft set honey that i do not like which is about the same consistency as Lurpak, would it be ok to give it back to the bees in a takeaway container over the feed hole on the crown board if they start getting a tad light.

How will it be cheaper as i have the honey here in the cupboard doing nothing, if i was to use fondant it would cost me Money
