Yes,we put our oxalic acid/glycerol soaked cloths,some at each hive lvl,then this outdriverplate on top but with the transfers closed off to easely feed them our honey/sugar paste/dough.Same procedure every year.Per hive two spongy biodegradable rinced and dried cleaning cloths,impregnated with 50 grams oxalic acid/50 grams glycerol solution,cut up in strokes and devided over the present lvl's.Those stay on untill spring preparation when the hives go on renson.If you ever try to make this solution yourself,you need to warm it up very slowly,till max 72°C,stir until the solution gets christalclear then pour still warm over the vertical placed cloths,to make the "soaking"/"pouring" part bit easier we cut the cloths in half before placing them verticaly,they fit nicely side by side in an empty icecreambox that way,ofcourse you do them all at once for as many hives you need them for.Make sure both products are at food quality.

Possibly,but both products are legal,neither is poissent unless in overdose but so is water,you don't package the result and use it for sales,it's for personal use,so not illegal here and i don't see the illegality in it,but i bet there are companies enough not liking people making their own succesfull solutions and prefer selling simular stuff under their label.I guess out of that your laws are more strickt then ours.Be it as it is,we haven't lost a single hive over 8 seasons so it works.
