You will find the Carl Fritz sixty frame radial, with double pockets and programmable logic controller entirely satisfactory. It is indeed a splendid machine, their uncapping machine is also something you will want to have.
As there is quite a waiting list, you may wish to consider the extractor Paul Sullivan in Dublin sells (purely as an interim measure of course). It costs about 450 euros and it can be recommended (seriously). I have seen it and it is good quality and value, paying in sterling is probably an option too.

Frightfully impertinent to mention it I know, but Strabane, where the OP lives is located in Shamrockshire, so delivery charges will be more modest. 1lb sections sell readily for £10.;)

Where did you get that E450 figure from ?

Paul O'Sullivan's website lists two extractors for sale - both nine-frame radial. Manual is E619, motorised is E1095.

Apart from all that, I think you must be William Ulsterman. Am I right ?

:spy:

Mere pennies my dear fellow, not worth bothering the O.P. with such trivia.

First time out? I would suggest Local Beekeeping Society, the one I joined has 3, but most of the folks I've met who have been doing it for a while have all said "I have an extractor you can borrow". My own plan is to borrow until the bees generate the cash to buy the one with a PLC :)
