I saw three earwigs on my crownboard today, will they affect my bees in any way?

not that i have found, one of mine today had about 30 on the crownboard. i just swished them off before opening the feed hole to add a feeder

I have loads too, and accidentally dropped one off the cover into the top of the hive, right away a bee lifted it and dumped it outside the hive. I was amazed and don't think they will be of much trouble :smash:

They're often heads in, bums out, in the cells - do they eat the honey or the detritus?

i made my earwig infestation worse as i used correx plastic to cover the feed hole...earwig hotel...lots in the correx channels

this correx stuff has a lot to answer for - i found slugs, ants and woodlice in the channels!

Try a piece of Cinnamon stick on the crown board, seems to reduce earwigs, ants and similar, especially if you have a feeder on.
