I put MAQS in my hive a week ago. Today I opened it up to check that the queen was still alive. I found her and she appears to be laying, however I noticed these potential queen cells at the bottom of a frame. I'm fairly certain they are just drones, however I wanted to check to see what you all thought.

I'm new to this marvelous hobby like yourself and i have asked the same question and i got some good replies on this forum.
My frames where very similar to them with some in the middle of the frame's.. after some advice i opened one then two up only to find they where empty play cup's and now they have totally disappeared.. they maybe a million other explanation that i can not answer but i hope this put's your mind at ease..i have also had drone and worker brood looking like that at the bottom of these badly thought out hives and frame's due to the bottom bee space being too big me think's..

Mostly drone and "play" cups but saw one capped QC surely? Couldn't open some pix without playing around so ignored them.

That's a lot of bees on the frame :) looks like drone and playcups to me too.
