So starting to draw up shoping lists for winter and was wondering if anyone had used the dn5 FOUNDATIONLESS Frames and if they needed more suppot or if they was any other unforseen problems with them.

I've used lots. Either wired using strong fishing line or vertical bamboo skewers. They need support, but not more than other brood frames.

As FS said, no problems with foundationless frames (particularly if you've added something to strengthen the comb) - but I have noticed that, if a DN5 is right next to the box wall, drones can't get through that gap. I've used DN5s because that was recommended to me when I started - but I don't think I'll bother anymore. I'll just use DN4s. (I care about the drones' well-being.)
