This is a first for me! Dead bee on a frame. Well dead. Picked the frame up and my little finger went onto its rear end. Ouch. It was really painful and swelled a treat! I think I must have squashed the sting right into the end of my finger! It was worse than most stings!!!!

I'm aware of two pest controllers who ended up in hospital with anaphylactic shock from passive stings from dead wasps received whilst cleaning out wasp pots.

Bees have distributed intelligence so their nether parts including legs can continue to function even though the head is deactivated.
