Can't find queen

I should not write as I think, just read it again and your right... No sense. My thinking was I could work out dates and look back to see if supersedure happened before those workers were laid and if so she might be alright to keep. I'm going to combine both colonies and keep queen from small nuc I think to be sure of fertile queen.
 
What did u decide to do?
 
Leave them to it! I reckoned it was supercedure, as I saw what looked like a queen cell on the outer side of a frame but it had been almost all torn down and that's probably why I didn't see it originally, now I have a mated queen, eggs and looking good.

The next issue I have to face is that while she's not been laying they have filled almost all the frames with pollen and honey. Should I move a frame of stores up and insert a foundation frame in for them to draw out and for her to lay in? Or will they move everything they need to?
