I'm thirteen stone odd and around 5' 11". My original large suit was a good fit and slightly long in the leg which was a good thing. The new suit is certainly shorter in the leg and is not quite as roomy but still fits.
Disappointing features are the knee pad sections, they are too high on the leg and ride up above kneecap level if you kneel down and the hip pockets which are accessed from the top ( my original has a more 45 degree access and are still deep enough to prevent stuff falling out ) and have an annoying bit of unnecessary velcro. I could also live without the velcro on cuffs and ankles.
The seamstress has been in touch and the veil of my old suit should be ready in a few days so that's excellent news.

Are you sure the knee pads are not two more pockets? Mine are!!!!!!!

They are designed to slip pads inside if you require them.

I’ve just bought a Large , 5’10” and 13 stone so I hope it fits. My old one is a XL and that too big for me really. Hoping this one is better.

i am almost exactly that and my 'large' has arrived and is great

heavier than the last one, but love it

mine came with foam pads already in the knee 'pockets'

and that is where, on my old suit, the mesh in between the layers had deteriorated where i had kneeled down, so a good addition for me

Are they located in the right place? They are in the right position on my old suit but they are too high on the new one, the bottom of the pads are only just below my kneecaps when I'm standing so when I kneel they end up above my knees.

for me they are, yes....actually, i just checked and mine is XL so may be a bit lower on the leg of XL than L

so mine is actually XL and i am 5.11, i prefer roomier suit for lifting etc and not straining the suit as i do, but knee pads on this are perfect....maybe, as you say your L is shorter in the leg, the knee pads are riding up too high. That would be annoying as if anything, they need to be lower to ride up as you kneel
