HI. What is the best type/make of smoker for a beginning beekeeper to use.

I have a couple of large copper smokers from Thor*es and a Dadant made by Dadant (not a copy)
I bought a couple of cheap smokers in the sales the same type sold on flea bay.
They blew hot flames out of the air vent burning small holes in my suit.
Whichever you buy consider it an investment and spend a few pounds.
Cheap smokers £10/15 good ones £50/60 put one on your gift list.

The best you can afford in simple terms, i bought a cheap one when i first started, it is not a big smoker but i can get 2hrs out of it no problems but i only need it for 20mins max when i can be bothered to light it during the inspection season, bearing i mind the last time i lit it was probably the beginning of September, imo get a cheap one to start with and if you click with the bees and expand you can buy a better one further down the line.
Do a ebay search you will find loads.
