Let me tell you a story as Max would say.....Travelling down the A39 Cannington bypass I was stopped entering the eastern end roundabout by a police motorcycle outrider. He had his headlight and blue lights flashing, ah I thought an outsize load approaching lots of these on the A39 around here. Next to arrive was a police 4x4 again all lights flashing, must be a very very outsize load coming thought I this should be interesting. The next vehicle arrived was a disappointment, no flashing headlights no flashing blue lights no bells and whistles... it was a police horse box! This was followed by another police 4x4 complete with all lights flashing. Myself and the untold amount of vehicles in the tail back followed the convoy at a stately 30mph to the next town.Thank God I turned off then.

My questions are:
1) Is this the new health and safety procedure for transporting horses.
2) Are the police doing this to wind the public up.
3) Showing they don't give a damn about public opinion.
4) We don't care about saving money, you will still have to pay our pensions.
What a PR disaster.
