yes, have been reading....

there is less on harvesting....i just wondered whether people just throw it or not...ended up with quite a ball of it

google proplis grid...think queen excluder with smaller holes...particularly late in season and bees are sealing up for the winter they can cover them quickly....some bees will use more than others and sites with a good number of resinous trees often produce more

I was beginning to suspect that. My bees are 50 yards from a pine spinney and practically underneath a horse chestnut in the hedgerow and they pile propolis onto everything.
