Just as a thought, could you hold back any full supers from the AS colony and give empty supers (with undrawn foundation) then feed until all the brrod combs are drawn and her Mag is settled and laying well with plenty if nectar coming in.

Would this make any unsealed nectar ferment or leak everywhere?


with that system you have a change to extract syrup to your jars.

Bees draw cells full only if they are filled with honey or with syrup.
I have feeded swarm with 20 % syrup. It forces draw the cell walls but it is slow to store for high water content.

I knoe that no one feed with 20% syrup swarms but i do. Swarm need pollen to draw combs and they like to eate patty. - if you want to play.

patty eating means that they are short of protein.
