I am just about embark on an ApiLife Var treatment. I've got two broods and a super all doing well. The super is 80% full with stores.

1. Can I take the super off and put the ApiVar biscuits on the top of the upper brood box? Or do I need to put on the top of the lower brood box?

2. If I am moving brood boxes, should I use the time to move the Super to below the bottom brood?

These questions are based on the the desire to move stuff around as minimally as possible given the time of year. I'd rather not move anything at all to be honest.

Its a nice day, I am back from work and can act based on your friendly advice...

I am afraid apilifevar is not recommended with multiple boxes, such as double brood. I would wait and treat with oxalic at Xmas. Getting late now for treatment

OK...I can do that. If I am taking samples for icing sugar varroa measurement is it OK to take from top brood? If I leave the super up top just lift that off and take out a frame for my sample bees from brood "2"?
