The geese and the bridge came from Paul Margett in North Shropshire. Went in for an 18 " geese thing and came out with a seven foot one. They were just too amazing to leave. He made the bridge to go with the geese. At the time we had three and a half acres of hillside in Shropshire with its own spring, waterfalls and lakes. We had the bridge to cross the river and the geese went at the age of the lake.Did you get the iron work from Stray Sparks? We have some of his work displayed at work, The Walled Garden in Mells.
It is a rip off from a David Gould elf selection that costs thousands, we were passing a second hand shop and spotted it. It was a very very reasonable price so I carried it down the street under my arm. I thought it would last a couple of years but it is still as good as new after eight!Sorry Enrico, everything is lovely but that pixie/goblin/ugly thing would have to go.
Lovely garden and bridgeA few shots of my garden this year. The anenomies and the species tulips are amazing this year.

Garden design and art is a passion. I thought of retraining as a garden designer at one stage, did an evening course for a year at a local college.
My latest ‘project’ has been turning a pile of leftover dry stone walling, a stone door and window set into a ruin inspired by the old farmhouse ruins up the clough where I live. The drystone wallers build it for me and I posted it and tagged them on FB. They were so chuffed as they’re members of a drystone wallers forum (imagine there’s a group like this one, for wallers!) and it became their front page

Thankyou I just host the occasional local gardening group that I belong to. Maybe one a year.I absolutely love your works of art.do you open it for NGS or anything?
Gorgeous, can tell you’re a keen plantswoman (& from your job!). That lovely large wall is a great feature in a garden. Love walled gardens. Not quite the scale of some of your gardens, but here’s a bit of mine.

It’s made from carved railway sleepers. I bought it at a local event - sculptures from mainly local artists, the setting was in the woods. I tracked the maker down. That was about 20 years ago, I took it with me when I moved, quite a challenge to dig up!Your garden is beautiful!
The snow photo with the black door is how I picture the entrance to Narnia

What a great thread, Enrico and such a beautiful garden, as are many others after yours. What our garden lacks in size and beauty, is perhaps made up by the size of its 'art'/paraphernalia.
