Chuck it in a freezer and scrape it off after a couple of days

soda crystals work quite well

agreed, I soak put the fingers of my Safeway's rubber gloves and plastic frame spacers in a weak solution overnight and next day they're clean.

Scrape it after the next frosty night, and save having to bother with the freezer. When the temperatures begin to warm up, it will have become too late.

Ammonia

Ahh! would that be very dilute, bench, '880' or anhydrous?

Dishwasher should get propolis off, but don't tell the other half it is in there for that!

Regards, RAB

Domestic ammonia - it is very strong bleach. Dissolve in water to the streinth you want. Use it in open air. The ammonia is good for cleaning your tools and hands while working with the bees as well.

.
Denatured strong alcohol / ethanol melts resins. I use it to clean propolis from my hands.
