I'd stick 3 to 4 on, Buckfast are capable of filling one a week in the right conditions, they also need empty cells for starting the processing and drying the nectar. This time of year any temperature issues caused by excess space too soon are less important (IMHO)....and if it's a bursting double brood you need parking room for the bees.

During a flow on good forage how often would you expect to add a new super on a double brood of bucky origin, i know they is no definite answer but lets say on average.

Depends when I would be revisiting the apiary and if I'm just clearing a super or 2. During the summer flow from July till Septmeber I may visit every 2 weeks so I wouldn't hesitate in adding 2 or 3 drawn empty supers in one go for that time period.

Thank you both, the reason i asked the question is i never know when i can get there regularly and knowing these bees are prolific i can stick more than one super on at once puts mind mind at ease.
The bees i have here on one brood box after swarming prep can be be left with one super for the spring flow for a month or two, the first one is full but the second one i put on is still empty, so double brood means double supers and even more supers with good bees.
Cheers
Steve.

Adding two (or more) supers at a time is usual in commercial beekeeping, when a flow is imminent.
