One of my hives is acting oddly last seen queen two weeks ago , last week I couldn't see queen no eggs no larvae lots of sealed brood .
No queen cells so I checked supers no eggs in them or queen , I put frame with eggs into hive to see was it queen less,
Went back today, the frame of eggs I added had no queen cells but there is also no new brood or eggs
What's going on ?

I had something similar on my first spring inspection..the hive went into winter very strong..when i opened up i was greeted with no eggs and no brood..on closer examination i found a unmated small Queen that was not marked or clipped..obviously it was a late supercedure and she failed to get mated..she was splatted and the colony was united to a neighboring colony.
