My bees have been horrible over the last few days. I wanted to take a honey sample for the refractometer on wednesday and they went bezerk. Counted 57 stings in the smoker bellows. Did not even start to count the ones on my gloves. Was sorting out the garage on Friday. Some 30 odd feet away and...

A friend up the road has found himself Q-. 3 weeks since queen hatched, but he can only see a few lava in the hive which he says are drone. He wants to buy a new queen, but has heard a drone layig hive would kill her. Can anyone shed any light on that. His bees are busy bringing in pollen etc...

It is full. Middle frame is drawn comb. The rest are new. I thought they might have made thier way to the drawn one in the middle.

The swarm I recovered last Tuesday have not come up for the syrup. For some reason they are all crammed up together at the back of the BB. And they are up high, above the top bars. I have sprayed them with sugar syrup this morning. Is this the best way to get them to eat? Sun has just come out...

ha... well they have moved from two groups into one and moved about 2 down. I thought it was to go in the bb. no more scouts around the box... maybe 'coz they have settled for the night. Still there so still hope. Any idea why they formed 2 bunches to start with.
