How does your beek association collect its subscriptions?

Thanks all for those ideas. I have explained to our trustees that there is no such thing as a free lunch and sooner or later we're going to have to pay for a service *or* do a huge amount of admin... Lots to think about! Cheers for taking the time to reply. Simon.

How does your beek association collect its subscriptions?

We use bank transfers too though the problem is that a lot of members don't use the reference number. This is particularly the case for older members who are perhaps less familiar with the technology. I think our treasurer is thinking about some kind of e-form where people are prompted to put...

How does your beek association collect its subscriptions?

How does your beekeeping association collect its subs? Our treasurer is getting bogged under with processing payments. People send cheques without indicating who/what it is for or set up bank standing orders with things like "bee subs" as the reference that make them almost impossible to...

Queen cell appearing in nuc split from full hive

Visited today. Queen cell sealed but old queen still there. It's been a glorious day and if they were going to swarm then I'd expect them to have gone this afternoon. Supercedure methinks.

Does anyone else feel like they are having a bad year so far

I spread peanut butter on toast, then the Marmite on top of that, and with chilli sauce drizzled over it. Food of Gods!! :D Got wabbies buzzing around in general but so far they are not bothering the hives.

Does anyone else feel like they are having a bad year so far

:p:p:p I agree. I don't even particularly like honey :p I have a savoury tooth, not a sweet one and prefer Marmite on my toast! :D

Queen cell appearing in nuc split from full hive

I suppose that what I am trying to say is that I have split colonies like this more times than I care to count but every time in the past, the Q+ nuc has just got on with it and started building up again. This is the first nuc in scores where they have made a single queen cell after splitting.
